Beyond Business We believe that we have an obligation to support the children, schools, and victims of unfortunate circumstances in our community, our country and our world. Our support has included tickets and autographed sports items for auctions, barter dollars for international relief efforts, and cash. We mention this because we have learned as a business we have many different ways we can help. Even though we know our customers who have an interest in helping others have a choice in what organizations they donate to, we simply want to provide more choices for what we believe are worthy groups. Doctors Without Borders - Medecins Sans Frontieres - Doctors Without Borders is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters, or exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries. MSF is a private nonprofit association founded in 1971. Feed The Children - Feed The Children is a Christian, international, non-profit relief organization with a mission to deliver food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war poverty or natural disaster. International Alert Academy - These ALERT Responders are deployed to disaster-stricken areas such as those affected by hurricanes, tornados, floods, and mud slides. Mission Harvest - Mission Harvest helps missionaries ship their supplies to deployed military personal, provides humanitarian aid and hurricane relief. Juvenile Diabetes Research - JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Wind Youth Services - WIND Youth Services is a local non-profit agency, main focus is to provide homeless/street youth with help to move from crisis to healthy functioning . Kiwanis Family House - Kiwanis Family House is dedicated to providing temporary housing and support to families of seriously ill or injured children being treated at the UC Davis Health System. Stanford Settlement Settlement - Stanford Settlement offers resources to assist and empower residents of the neighborhood so that individuals can function productively, and the cycles of poverty and dysfunction can be broken A number of local schools have requested donations to compensate for lack of funding for basic needs and projects. We donate to a number of them year after year.
