The American League has 14 teams and the National League has 16 teams, with each league divided into three divisions, East West Central Each team plays a total of 132 regular season games, possibly more if a tie breaker situation. Baseball Season starts the first Sunday in April and ends the first Sunday in October. Both leagues meet at the end of the season to compete in what is known as the World Series.
