Canadian singer, songwriter, Neil Young took an interest in music around the age of ten. Neil had played in several rock bands as a teenager. In the mid-sixties touring as a solo artist he met Rick James and joined the band the Mynah Birds with fellow musicians Bruce Palmer, Rickman Mason, John Taylor and Rick James as their lead singer. Neil and Bruce left the band when Rick James was arrested for being AWOL from the Naval Reserve. Neil and Bruce landed in Los Angeles, CA and met up Stephen Stills, Dewey Martin, Richie Furay to form Buffalo Springfield.
After the breakup of Buffalo Springfield, Neil decided to go solo and formed Crazy Horse. Shortly after the release of Crazy Horse's new album, Neil joined Crosby Stills Nash, whom had also released an album as a trio. The band was renamed as a quartet and is now known as Crosby Still Nash & Young. Known to many as the Godfather of Grunge, Neil annually hosts The Bridge School Benefit which benefits children with severe cerebral palsy and they are taught how to communicate with computers and other technology.
